The Mission of Adventist Jamaicans Abroad

To recruit, coordinate and mobilize Seventh-day Adventist Jamaicans in the Diaspora to donate time, talent and financial support for educational programs, volunteer medical projects, disaster relief, and humanitarian projects that benefit the people of Jamaica (West Indies). While Jamaica is our primary field of focus, there may be occasion and opportunity to mobilize to support humanitarian efforts in other countries.

We seek to accomplish our mission of community development through charitable donations, coordinating volunteer projects including but not limited to youth education and development programs, dental and medical missionary work, donations of ambulatory and other health care equipment for needy persons and institutions, emergency disaster relief, and financial or other assistance for the procurement of spiritual and humanitarian resources 

Our charitable participation in the work of Christ's ministry to people will be done in collaboration with local Seventh-day Adventist organization and leadership. Some of our work may be in cooperation with the government. Nonetheless, AJA will work with local Jamaica Union, local conference and institutional leadership to accomplish these arrangements. We exist to support the work of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamaica and pledge to work in partnership with duly elected leadership.
